Joe Childress

Joe has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Bethany College in Pittsburgh, PA. He started his career as an auditor with Dixon Hughes Goodman in Charlotte, NC, working primarily with clients in the real estate and construction industries. From there, he spent over 15 years with two real estate developers as their CFO, developing a solid knowledge of real estate finance (banks, mezzanine, and equity raises), human resources, and construction management accounting in the multifamily, single-family, and hotel industries.   

 

In 2012 Joe founded MJ Consulting, specializing in providing small to mid-sized businesses with CFO services. MJ Consulting has been able to bring together all of his previous years of experience to teach and train business owners on how to understand and control their finances, improve profitability, and provide accurate, understandable, and timely financial reporting. This includes analysis, cash management, financial modeling optimization, market research, accounting process improvement, budgeting, and forecasting.
